What is WCT Buddy Loyalty Program?
WCT Buddy Loyalty Program (“WCT Buddy”) is a card-less loyalty and rewards program that is operated by WCT Malls E-Shop Sdn Bhd (“WCTMES”) which allows registered members of WCT Buddy (“Members”) to enjoy WCT Buddy membership benefits including but not limited to earning WCT Buddy loyalty and/or reward points (“Point” or “Points”) from transactions by the Members of qualifying goods or services (“Products”) from any retailer, partner or any other person or corporation which has signed up to participate in WCT Buddy (“Merchant”) and the redemption of goods services offers rewards gifts and deals of the Merchant for redemption by Members (collectively, “Rewards”).
How do I register to become a Member?
You can register to become a Member in any of the following manner:
  1. WCT Buddy mobile application;
  2. Seek assistance from the customer service counter located at our retail malls, namely, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya, Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, gateway@klia2 and SkyPark Terminal (collectively, “WCT Malls”).
How long does it take for my WCT Buddy membership to be activated?
A SMS OTP validation will be sent to your registered mobile number to activate the membership upon submission of your application. Membership shall be activated immediately upon your completion of the membership activation request.
Is there any membership fee imposed?
There is no membership fee imposed. However, WCTMES reserves the right to impose a membership fee (for sign up and/or renewal) at our sole discretion.
How many WCT Buddy accounts can I have?
Each Member is only entitled to have one (1) WCT Buddy account and Member ID. Members are not allowed to have multiple WCT Buddy accounts. In addition, one (1) email address shall only be allowed for registration of one (1) WCT Buddy account and Member ID. We keep a record of all Members’ email addresses and our system recognises duplication of email address. We shall automatically reject all applications for membership with a duplicate email address.
Does the WCT Buddy membership have an expiry?
The membership has no expiry. However, WCTMES may at its absolute discretion terminate WCT Buddy by giving Members thirty (30) days’ written notice thereof.
If I am an existing Member and WCT Buddy is migrated to a new application or platform, how will I be notified?
Members will be notified via email and SMS.
Are there any changes to my WCT Buddy membership after the migration of WCT Buddy?
Members will be required to reset their WCT Buddy account password. If the Member’s personal details contained inside the new application or platform is incorrect and/or not up to date, Members will be required to update their personal details.

How can I cancel my WCT Buddy membership?
Members may at any time on their own accord cancel their membership by sending a notice in writing to WCTMES, whereupon upon acknowledgment by WCTMES, usage of the WCT Buddy account and Member ID will forthwith cease. The cancellation of membership is an irreversible process and the cancelled membership cannot be reinstated in any manner whatsoever. Any Points accumulated and/or remaining in the WCT Buddy account at the time of cancellation will be forfeited absolutely to us without any compensation whatsoever.
Is the WCT Buddy membership and/or Points transferable?
WCT Buddy membership and/or Points is strictly non-transferable.
How do I update my personal particulars?
You may update your personal particulars at any time on the WCT Buddy mobile application after login. You are however unable to change your email address which is used as a login ID and your mobile number which are exclusive to your WCT Buddy account. Please email us at wctbuddy@wctmalls.wct.my if you require any assistance.
What if I forgot my password?
Please use the 'Forgot Password' function at the Member login page of the WCT Buddy mobile application to reset your password. An OTP will be sent to your registered email address to reset your password, after which you will be able to login to WCT Buddy using the new password.
How do I change my password?
You are unable to change your password unless you have forgotten your password. Please refer to the answer to Question 2 (What if I forgot my password?) above.
How do I stop receiving emails from WCTMES on WCT Buddy?
Members are automatically subscribed to our emails upon successful sign up as a Member. If you wish to unsubscribe to our emails, you may email us at wctbuddy@wctmalls.wct.my to inform us. We recommend that you title your email subject “Unsubscribe” for our ease of reference.
Where should I direct my queries in general?
If you have an inquiry, you may email us at wctbuddy@wctmalls.wct.my or speak to our customer service staff at the customer service counter at WCT Malls.
What are the Rewards offered?
The Rewards will be listed inside the WCT Buddy mobile application. Rewards may generally consist of goods services offers rewards gifts and deals of the Merchant for redemption by Members, which are subject to availability and change from time to time. Rewards may be in digital electronic form vouchers (which include the WCT Malls E-Voucher) or physical form vouchers (which include the Physical Voucher).
How can I redeem the Rewards?
Members can redeem Rewards by using Points in the WCT Buddy account.
How can I utilise the Rewards?
You must show the QR code of the Rewards available after redemption inside the WCT Buddy mobile application to the Merchant for the Merchant to scan the QR code to mark the Rewards as utilised.
Can redeemed Rewards be exchanged for cash or Points or any other Rewards?
Redeemed Rewards is strictly not exchangeable for cash and/or Points and/or any other Rewards.
Can redeemed Rewards be returned for refund or exchanged?
Redeemed Rewards are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
What if the Merchant does not honour the Rewards or what if the Rewards is inapplicable in respect of any other promotions run by the Merchant?
The Merchant has the right to withdraw or amend any promotions or benefits or decline to accept the Rewards without prior notice to you. The promotions run by the Merchant will be subject upon the Merchant’s own terms and conditions, which may disallow usage of the Rewards. Alternatively, you may speak to our staff at the customer service counter at WCT Malls.
What is WCT Malls E-Voucher?
WCT Malls E-Voucher are digital electronic cash vouchers with a minimum denomination of RM10.00 up to such maximum value denomination as may be prescribed by WCTMES at any time from time to time. Members may obtain or request for the issuance WCT Malls E-Voucher through WCT Buddy by the conversion of Points to WCT Malls E-Voucher, such conversion rate of Points to WCT Malls E-Voucher shall be determined by WCTMES at its sole and absolute discretion.
Does WCT Malls E-Voucher have a validity period?
Yes. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the WCT Malls E-Voucher.
Can I exchange WCT Malls E-Voucher with cash?
WCT Malls E-Voucher are strictly not exchangeable for cash.
Can I gift or transfer WCT Malls E-Voucher to another person (including to another Member)?
No. However, we may make this option available in the future, subject to our official announcement.
Can I utilise WCT Malls E-Voucher together with other credit card/loyalty card promotions run by the Merchant?
This will depend on the Merchant’s own terms and conditions. You are advised to speak directly to the Merchant on this.
What is Physical Voucher?
Physical Voucher are hard copy printed vouchers that are available for redemption via a reservation function under the Vouchers tab in the WCT Buddy mobile application. Physical Voucher redemption is available on a first-come-first basis. If the Physical Voucher is no longer available or in stock, it will not be available for redemption on the WCT Buddy mobile application.
How and when may I collect the Physical Voucher?
Collection of the Physical Voucher must be done in person at the customer service counter at WCT Malls before the redemption expiry date as stated in the WCT Buddy mobile application. You may collect the Physical Voucher once you have successfully redeemed the Physical Voucher through WCT Buddy mobile application. You are required to show proof of redemption to the staff at the customer service counter.
Can I authorise a representative to collect the Physical Vouchers?
No, the Member must collect the Physical Voucher personally at the customer service counter at WCT Malls.
Does the Physical Voucher have a validity period?
Yes. The validity period is printed on the Physical Voucher together with the applicable terms and conditions. Please speak to our customer service staff if you require any assistance.
Can I exchange the Physical Voucher with cash?
Physical Voucher are strictly not exchangeable for cash.
Can I gift the Physical Voucher to another person (including to another Member)?
Yes, you can gift the Physical Voucher to any person and that person shall be subject to the terms and conditions of use of the Physical Voucher.
Can I use the Physical Voucher together with other credit card/loyalty card promotions run by the Merchant?
This will depend on the Merchant’s own terms and conditions. You are advised to speak directly to the Merchant on this.
How do Members earn Points?
Points may be earned from purchasing Products from a Merchant. To be eligible to earn Points after purchasing a Product, Members must submit their purchase receipts (“Receipt”) to us for processing, evaluation and determination of validity on the same day of purchase using any one of the following methods:
  1. scanning the Receipt using the WCT Buddy mobile application;
  2. uploading a digital copy of the Receipt on the WCT Buddy mobile application in the prescribed format;
  3. scanning the Receipt at the Merchant’s cashier counter at WCT Malls, where a QR code shall be provided for Members to scan upon purchase and submit the Receipt on the WCT Buddy mobile application; or
  4. by such other means as may be determined by WCTMES from time to time at our sole discretion.
When must I submit the Receipts?
Receipts must be submitted on the same day of purchase.
How many Receipts can a Member submit per day?
There is no limit to the number of Receipts a Member can submit per day provided that a Member is only allowed to submit a maximum of three (3) Receipts from the same Merchant each day.
Is there a maximum number of Points that I can collect or earn in a single day?
No. You can earn as many Points as you can as long as you purchase the Products and submit your Receipts to us on the same day of purchase. We may however revise this term at any time from time to time.
Are there any transactions exempted from Points earning?
Members cannot earn Points from the following transactions:
  1. payment of utilities and telecommunication bills such as telephone, water, electricity, Astro subscription etc.;
  2. transactions at money changer;
  3. all types of top-up or credit reload (for e.g. Touch ‘n Go top-up into e-wallet, prepaid mobile top-up, food and beverage membership);
  4. gold trade-in;
  5. purchases made at a temporary space within WCT Malls (for e.g. promotional space, kiosks, pop-up stores);
  6. purchases made at Merchants within WCT Malls which do not participate in WCT Buddy;
  7. where payments made at Merchants involve usage in whole of gift cards, gift certificates, gift vouchers, WCT Malls E-Voucher and/or Physical Voucher;
  8. where payments made at Merchants involve usage in part of gift cards, gift certificates or gift vouchers, where Members will earn Points only from the net payment made to the Merchants using cash, e-wallet or credit/debit cards;
  9. where payments made at Merchants involve usage in part of WCT Malls E-Voucher and/or Physical Vouchers, where Members will earn Points only from the net payment made to the Merchants using cash, e-wallet or credit/debit cards; and
  10. WCT Malls parking ticket or season pass payments.
This list is non-exhaustive and may be updated by WCTMES from time to time.
What is the value of each Point / how do you calculate the number of Points to be awarded?
Every Ringgit (RM1) spent in respect of a Product shall entitle you to one (1) Point. For every RM1 spent, you will be awarded with one (1) Point, unless otherwise stated by us. The Points are awarded based on the nett amount paid after deduction of any applicable discount or voucher used at the Merchants. Points awarded is based on the amount spent rounded down to the nearest Ringgit. For example, if you have submitted a Receipt in the sum of RM60.60, sixty (60) Points will be awarded.
What can I do with my Points?
You may utilise the Points to redeem Rewards. The information of available Rewards as well as Points required for the redemption of each Reward is available on the Vouchers tab in the WCT Buddy mobile application. For the avoidance of doubt, requests for redemption of Rewards by any Member with insufficient Points will not be processed.
Do Points have a validity period?
Yes. Points have a validity period of twelve (12) months. Upon the expiry of the Points, the Points will automatically become null and void. WCTMES reserves the right to amend the validity period of the Points from time to time. However, in the event of cancellation of membership by the Member or termination of membership by WCTMES, any Points accumulated and/or remaining in the WCT Buddy account at the time of cancellation or termination will be forfeited absolutely to us without any compensation whatsoever, regardless of the validity period of the Points.
Can I exchange Points with cash?
Points are strictly not exchangeable for cash.
Can I give (as a gift) or transfer Points to another person (including to another Member)?
No, the Points cannot be gifted and are non-transferable.
How long does it take for Points to appear in the WCT Buddy account?
It will take up to five (5) working days for the Points to appear in the WCT Buddy account.
How can I check my Points float and balance?
Members can check the Points float and balance on the WCT Buddy mobile application or by seeking assistance from the customer service counter located at WCT Malls.
Am I allowed to submit the same Receipt for more than one time so that the Points can be awarded for more than one time for the same purchase/Receipt?
No, you are only allowed to submit a Receipt once. Duplicate Receipts will automatically be rejected, whether or not it is submitted by you using your WCT Buddy account or the WCT Buddy account of another Member. We will only recognise the first of such submission of Receipts and reject further submission(s) thereof. Repeated submission of duplicate Receipts in any manner is a breach of the WCT Buddy Terms and Conditions, which all Members are subject to.
If I have Receipts that were given to me, can I submit them using my WCT Buddy account to earn WCT Buddy Points?
No. All Points shall only be awarded for a Member’s own purchases. If any Member is found to have used Receipts other than those Receipts from their own purchases to collect WCT Buddy Points, WCTMES reserves the right to cancel any WCT Buddy Points, if awarded to the Member, and/or take any action in accordance with the WCT Buddy Terms and Conditions including but not limited to suspending or terminating the membership.
The Merchant does not or is unable to issue printed Receipts. Can I submit handwritten Receipts to earn Points?
Handwritten Receipts can be submitted and we shall determine the validity thereof accordingly.
Under what circumstances will the Receipt I submitted be rejected?
Your Receipt may be rejected due to any of the following reasons:
  1. The purchase was not made at any of the Merchant or at any of the WCT Malls;
  2. the Receipt is unclear or incomplete, which means crucial information such as Merchant name, shop name, retail mall name, total purchase amount and/or transaction date cannot be seen;
  3. the Receipt is submitted on the subsequent day(s) after the day of purchase;
  4. the image submitted is a credit or debit card transaction slip;
  5. the image submitted is incorrect and/or irrelevant;
  6. the same Receipt has been submitted by another Member earlier;
  7. any other findings by WCTMES that warrant a rejection of the Receipt submitted.
Can I submit the Receipts I obtained before I become a Member of WCT Buddy?
No, you can only submit Receipts from the day you successfully register as a Member and have a WCT Buddy account.
What can I do if my Receipt is too long and cannot be scanned or captured fully?
For long Receipts, you may fold the Receipts before scanning or capturing them as long as the crucial information such as Merchant name, shop name, retail mall name, total purchase amount and transaction date can be seen clearly. Can I use Points to pay for or get a discount on parking fee at any WCT Malls?
No, the Points cannot be utilised to pay for or get a discount on parking fee at the moment but this feature may be made available soon, subject to our official announcement.
Can I request for refund of my redeemed/utilised Points should I change my mind after the redemption?
No, all Points are non-returnable and non-refundable once they have been redeemed/utilised.
Can I authorise others to redeem the Points on my behalf?
No, the Points belong to each Member and are only allowed to be redeemed/utilised by the Member who is the holder of the WCT Buddy account.
What will happen to my Points balance in the event of migration of WCT Buddy to a new application or platform?
Any Points balance in your previous WCT Buddy account will be migrated to the new WCT Buddy application or platform.
What should I do if I have problems or questions relating to Points and Receipts?
